April is Bowel Cancer Awareness Month so once again we would like to invite you and your friends to join us at our Walk to Remember, our sponsored walk around Port Soderick on Sunday, 22 May 2016. The walk will commence from the Port Soderick Recreational Hall, Quines Hill, on the Old Castletown Road. Off road parking is available at the hall. Registration will take place from 2pm and the walk will begin at 2.30pm. The route is approx 2.5 miles / 4 km – this should be a manageable distance for children and those with prams.
Refreshments will be served in the hall following completion of the walk. There are toilet facilities at the hall. This will be a fun event for all the family, a time to share memories of special friends, raise awareness and help us break the poo taboo. Everyone is welcome, including well behaved dogs!
The entry fee, payable either on our website or at the registration desk on the day, is £5 for adults. Children (16 and under) take part free of charge. T shirts (cost included in the entry fee) will be available on the day for all participants.
To register in advance please use our Paypal button quoting reference WTR 2016 and download a Sponsored walk form 2016.
If you have any queries about the event or wish to volunteer to be a marshal on the day please email firstname.lastname@example.org
With your help Bowel Cancer IOM can continue raising awareness and providing support to those affected by bowel cancer in the Island.
