Pictures taken on Sunday, 14 May at our third annual Walk To Remember
The walk began at Peel Sailing Club on Peel Promenade and kept to a level route around the harbour, breakwater and promenade. It was a perfect day for a walk, sunny and dry with a refreshing breeze. All the walkers were invited back to the clubhouse afterwards for refreshments and an impromptu raffle. Over £450 was collected on the day with more to follow after sponsorship monies have been paid in.
If you took part in the walk and have photos of the event you would like to share we would be delighted to add them here and on our Facebook pages.
We would like to thank the Committee of Peel Sailing Club for their assistance and providing the venue free of charge. We are also very grateful to the Creek Inn and Davisons for supplying prizes for fancy dress, and to everyone who donated raffle prizes. Thanks also to Barbara, Norma and Helen for serving refreshments and to Les for collecting donations and handing out leaflets on the Prom. Last but not least, thank you to Robbie for creating and measuring out the route.
Now, where shall we go to next year???
